Old cars, especially convertibles tend to suffer from sagging shock towers. Some of it is faulty or dated designs, but most of it is due to the age of the cars. When you enter a turn the shock towers tend to flex and move in relation to one another which will cause changes in the geometry of the suspension.
Add to all that the fact that convertibles have less natural stiffness due to not having a roof.
PERFORMANCE:
While many people have used export braces and monte carlo bars, this kit
goes one step further and basically builds a brace completely around the
shock towers and basicallyl prevents any flexing in any lateral direction.
After the kit was installed I went out for a test drive. The car felt instantly different. The front end felt so much tighter and the car handled much better around the turns. Also, a lot of the squeaking from the front end is now gone.
Overall impression of the system is very impressive.
